The food and price are alright. For being a takeout & location of the town & hmong food (e.g. in comparison to other hmong takeouts), it is kind of 'expensive' as in either you expect more food or the price to be better. But the value varies by the menu. The chicken and rice was actually good value with two large pieces of chicken and one giant sticky rice. Not sure if everyone gets two chicken pieces but value wise I've seen much worse on hmong take outs. But the chicken was kind of dry even though the flavor was alright. But the rice was perfect and I liked the overall value so this was 👍 The eggrolls were decent and again was pretty good value. Fawm Kauv Stemrolls were ok to decent but the sauce was not correct, it was eggrolls sauce. Which is not supposed to be. Not sure if the ran out or they normally give eggroll sauce with it. 🤔 Springroll was ok ish to decent, but was on the more expensive side for what it was. Peanut sauce was good. The sweet pork was kind of underwhelming. The taste was decent to good but there was not too much pork but a lot of oil/liquid for kind of higher price tag with no rice. Try but only once - wise words from my wife. I understood knowing the location was small that the parking would suck, but had high hopes that this was a gem hole-in-the-wall Hmong food. I was greatly disappointed, firstly by the service, and then by the food. The price does not meet the expectation of taste. For convenience food/hot food to-go, it is costly in comparison to other local places. The owner raves about the uniqueness of her pork belly, but the skin was tough, not crunchy, and almost choked. The flavor was bland, and could only account the fact that it was smoked for claim to fame. There is absolutely no love in making the food by the chef. Fish was dry and the kapoon had too little liquid for the amount of noodles given, poor ratio or just greed? I thought the pepper would be the hero and save the day but it tasted like salsa, and not good salsa. It was watered down, and no flavor spice. In the end, nothing was significant about the food. No effort put in shows itself in the presentation, taste, and service.

Kapoon is my favorite food, so I was very excited to try NyabTee's kapoon. Her kapoon is good. The base is well balanced with the perfect amount of curry and coconut milk. She did not skimp on the curry and coconut, as evident by how thick the kapoon broth is. You can add your personal taste of fish sauce or lime, and the base broth will still taste good. For $12, the kapoon portion size was a good amount of noodles and meat. It looks bigger in person than in the photos. I also grabbed the steam roll. It was good, too. The steam roll texture was bouncy yet soft, and the meat filling has green onion and pork. The steam roll alone doesn't have a lot of favors, but I understand the reasoning behind it because the steam roll sauce is packed with favors. The mild steam roll dipped in the flavorful sauce is the perfect combination for steam rollsl. For $6, the steam roll portion size is a good amount, and the meat filling was well portion, thus creating a well-balanced bite. I will be going back to try the steam fish and their other dishes.

Went to grab the Papaya. Serivce was quick and easy. Went in and got out within 10mins. We asked for med spicy but the papaya was pretty spicy. It seemed the ac was down because it was really hot. I did wish we got more papaya though since it was 12 bucks. All in all I would come again.

The khaopoon had a bland flavor. Appeared to be watered down because the flavor was there but not as apparent, more greasy. The bamboo wasn’t blanched before putting it into the broth. The fish was herby and flavorful but I don’t think it was fully cleaned. Eggrolls were quite oily and light flavoring but the dipping sauce is good. Perhaps use a rack so it doesn’t continue to sit in its own oil. Please put a ceiling fan by the door so flies don’t get into the restaurant. There were so many flying everywhere. 🤢 Hopefully it’ll improve. May give it a try again in a few months.
